  • Martin Dougiamas
Martin requires little introduction as founder and lead developer of Moodle. Martin lives in Perth (HQ of Moodle), Australia and is a prominent educator and computer scientist with postgraduate degrees in Computer Science and Education. His work has made a significant impact on the implementation of constructivist models of teaching and learning online. His current research interests and inspiration are the application of social constructionist referents and networking to Internet technology, and the methodologies and practices of open-source software development.

    Martin Knott, Moodlerooms CEO
A respected Baltimore business owner and entrepreneur, Martin has founded and funded numerous startups. He brings 30 years of senior-level experience within a multitude of businesses to Moodlerooms. Most recently, Martin established The Shepherd Group, a retained executive search firm, after serving as a managing director of three global search firms. Prior to entering the executive search industry, Martin was owner/CEO of an engineering and construction company serving the mid-Atlantic region and chairman and CEO of a major real estate holding company.

Tom Murdock, Moodlerooms Chief Strategy Officer & Co-Founder
Tom came to Moodlerooms with a background of secondary school instruction. For the last 15 years, he has engaged students as a classroom teacher, a boarding school adviser, a wilderness expedition leader, an English department chairperson at two schools and the administrator of a number of writing and art programs. Tom has been an enthusiastic supporter of and contributor to the Moodle project for the last five years.

    Shane Elliott, Pukunui Technology
Pukunui Technology was started in 2000 by Shane Elliott in Perth, Western Australia and has quickly grown, becoming a Moodle Partner in 2004 and provide a range of Moodle related services to education and training institutions of all sizes. Shane is involved in the development of the core Moodle code. In Australia Shane is often asked what Pukunui mean? It may have something to do with his Maori ancestry or his appetite for a good steak - you'll have to ask him.
